JOB FUNCTION
Prepares acceptance, safety-of-flight and qualification test plans, procedures and reports in accordance with customer, Military and Federal specifications and standards, as applicable. Performs all responsibilities with a minimum of direction and engineering assistance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Designs and prepares test setup schematics for use in test procedures.
2. Prepares all related program test reports.
3. Generates diagrams and sketches of test setups and rigs using optimal software .
4. Assists engineering personnel with the preparation of technical proposals and related technical data such as reliability, maintainability and safety program documentation (i.e., FMEA’s, FMECA’s, prediction reports, hazard analyses, etc.).
5. Assists engineering personnel with the preparation of preliminary and critical design review presentations and agendas. Participates in, and prepares minutes and action items of, all such meetings.
6. Establishes and maintains data submittal schedules in accordance with customer SDRL and hardware delivery requirements.

· Solid understanding of aerospace engineering and manufacturing fundamentals / requirements; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
· Demonstrated effectiveness working across organizational levels and with cross-functional teams that include customers, production, engineering and senior management.
· Superior organizational and time-management skills; demonstrated effectiveness managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Strong problem solving and independent decision-making; demonstrated thoroughness and attention to detail.
· Superior verbal and written communication skills.
· Computer/software proficiency to include WORD, EXCEL, Outlook, PowerPoint, AutoCAD or comparable.
· Must have experience going through SOWs, translating test requirements, developing test plans and procedures.
· Data requirements / management experience is a plus.
· Reliability/maintainability experience is a plus
EXPERIENCE
Minimum five (5) years technical writing experience required that includes aerospace industry experience.
EDUCATION
B.A. / B.S. degree required, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
